Now the same laptop goes to a blue screen that gives me many options including startup menu: f1 system information F2 system diagnostics F9 boot device options F10 bio set up F11 system recovery. It turned out that I needed a new motherboard so I got that replaced by a professional. Here's the deal about a year ago my laptop screen went blank.
